Free Program Downloads
Hey all! Just wanted to put together a little list of some
programs available for
FREE download that I have
personally tested, and would
highly recommend to you!
First up, CCleaner™ What this does is clean out all
those nasty temp files and cookies you get from surfing
the net. Fantastic program, just
be careful, some of the
extra tools and settings are quite powerful. I don't even
mess with 'em!!!!
Here's the link:
www.ccleaner.com Check it out!!!
Need video codecs?? CLICK HERE and visit the
CCCP™ codec site. This universal codec supports
MOST video and audio platforms currently in use. Again,
this is
FREEWARE, meaning any one can legally
download the software!! Did I mention it's
FREE???!!!
Looking for a good antivirus? Then check out Avira™
free. That's right,
FREE. This is one "free" antivirus I
have found to be worth anything. You have to deal with
an ad or two when you update, but no big deal. It actually
scans AND removes viruses, spyware, and malware. It
DOES scan for rootkits, I just don't know how thoroughly.
(1-26 Update: It scans for rootkits
VERY well, I just tested
it!!!)
Great program, If you are interested in downloading
Avira,
Click Here for the link, and remember, if you can,
buy the full version, and help support their costs!!
Computer crashed? Got the dreaded BLUE SCREEN OF
DEATH??
Well, you're in luck!! Malwarebytes™ anti
malware is phenomenal at ridding your system of even
the toughest trojans!
computer!! And, yes, it's
FREEWARE.
This is a total spyware annihilator!!!. It is called
Superantispyware™ and the name says it all!! This
software DESTROYS spyware completely, and also has
a nifty set of tools that are in the preferences section in
case malware has locked out any of your programs, like
control panel. Again, this is
FREEWARE, any one can
dowload this software free of charge, with the option to
buy the full version which offers realtime file protection.
Very nice program.
Here's another nice FREE program. VLC™media player
is pretty much an "all in one" package for managing
digital media. It does NOT require codecs, so it's a bit
simpler to use. Here's the link:

geo.php?file=vlc/1.0.3/win32/vlc-1.0.3-win32.exe
OK, OK, so I got a request from a close friend of mine to
find some
FREE sound clip D-L's, since I provided a way
to change the sounds in the first place!
DUH on my part everyone, sorry!!!     K, so I did some
digging, and came up with these:

http://www.thefreesite.com/Free_Sounds/Free_WAVs/

http://www.soundboard.com/

http://www.pacdv.com/sounds/index.html

http://www.stonewashed.net/sfx.html

I have tested these particular sites, no problems, no
viruses, says Avira™, so as far as I can tell, D-load
away!!! Enjoy!
!
LATER!!!!!!G.
Just a few links for free driver d-loads, they're useful if ya
change mobos, or have to reformat, and don't have
drivers for particular pieces of hardware. As there are a
all, so you may have to hunt around for your product, you
may not find it at all, but it's worth a look if it's
free!! I
have tested
SOME of the sites for viruses, etc, but you
should still scan the d- loads
BEFORE you open them!!!!
Here they are:

http://www.driverfiles.net/

http://www.driverzone.com/

http://download.cnet.com/windows/drivers/

http://drivers.softpedia.com/
I happened upon this a little while ago. CDburnerXP™.
This is a freeware program capable of transferring, and
burning mp3 files. It can also process ISO
AND video
files, which makes it a really nice all-in-one
package!!
I downloaded and tested with Avira™ and
Malwarebytes™, no problems.
Support ended in July 2010 for XP service pack 2

If you have not already done so, you should upgrade to
sp3. Here's the link:
